I monoprinted onto acetate one day, and ended up loving how it looks when projected onto a wall, or up against a window. The only problem with monoprinting onto acetate is that it takes a very long time to dry, especially in a house as cold as mine. One way to deal with this if you need it quickly is to put another piece of acetate on top of it, but that is a waste of acetate.
Below is a photo of my eyes monoprint, and some cropped segments I liked from it.
I even monoprinted onto punched file pocket/wallets. This is cheap, uses up any going spare or that are damaged, and has a look to it that I quite like, thanks to the punches being visible.
