I took part in 2 Christmas/Winter exhibitions in Kirkwall 2017/2018. I submitted 2 artworks for each exhibition, all of them monoprints with gold pen detail.
The first one was at the For Arts Sake Gallery, and the second was at The Exhibition Room at The Old Library.
Above is one poster from the For Arts Sake Gallery exhibition, and below is the photo I took of my work on display.

All these were framed using frames found in charity shops. I like to use old, found frames for my work as I love the mystery behind them. What did they used to show? Was it a loved one? A photo from a holiday? Another artwork? They are once loved items, discarded, but with a new use. I was originally inspired to do this due to Joseph Cornell using "once loved" items from thrift shops in his work.
